La Skoda Octavia fut une des premières voitures « de l’Est » vendue en France. Il est vrai que cette marque gardait à l’époque une technologie comparable à bon nombre de marques occidentales. Le cabriolet Felicia ajoutait une note de fraîcheur dans la gamme, il est vrai que ce type de carrosserie était rare de l’autre côté du Rideau de Fer…
Pendant ce temps, l’antique 1200 poursuit sa carrière sous la forme du break 1202 de 1961 à 1971, et du tardif 1203, sorte de monospace avant l’heure, de 1968 à 1985… avec même un dérivé TAZ 1500 qui se prolongera jusqu’en 1999 !
