Saab a tent\u00e9 une br\u00e8ve incursion dans les coup\u00e9s sport de 1966 \u00e0 1974 avec le type 97 appel\u00e9 commercialement Sonett. A noter que le premier mod\u00e8le r\u00e9ellement commercialis\u00e9 fut la Sonett II, la Sonett I (type 94, 1956) n’ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 fabriqu\u00e9 qu’\u00e0 six exemplaires. Le moteur reste le V4 Ford, comme pour la Saab 96 dont ce mod\u00e8le d\u00e9rive \u00e9troitement. Il conna\u00eetra un succ\u00e8s d’estime et ne conna\u00eetra pas de descendance. La Sonett III sera une version plus sp\u00e9cialement destin\u00e9e aux USA, sur un dessin initial de Coggiola profond\u00e9ment retravaill\u00e9 par Saab pour conserver la cellule centrale de la Sonett II.<\/span><\/p>\n
