Le Taft, \u00e0 l’instar du Suzuki Jimny, est un petit 4X4 agile mais tellement inconfortable que tout long parcours sur route vire au supplice. Cet engin offrait une finition rustique au point que que m\u00eame les porti\u00e8res \u00e9taient optionnelles… ou remplac\u00e9es par une barre de fer ! La seconde \u00e9dition (1978) gagne des moteurs plus \u00e9toff\u00e9s fournis par Toyota… qui permettent de passer la barre de 100 km\/h ! La finition devient acceptable pour un usage civil. A noter que Toyota commercialisera un d\u00e9riv\u00e9 appel\u00e9 Blizzard au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 80.<\/span><\/p>\n
